My name is Jessica Hoagland and I am the owner of One Sacred Village Birth and Postpartum Services. I am a registered nurse with over 12 years of experience in labor and delivery and postpartum. I was born and raised in the East County area of San Diego and currently live in Crest with my husband, 3 children, 2 dogs, 2 rabbits and 12 chickens. After having two wonderful hospital births, I decided to have my third baby at home. The care I received from my amazing team of midwives was so different than the model of care I was used to. To be seen, heard, and supported so intensely affected me in a way I was not expecting. They showed me the kind of care that is possible when we connect directly with mothers. The experience ignited a spark within me that had been growing for some time. I am excited to follow my passion for supporting women through pregnancy, labor and postpartum away from the bedside and practice true mother-centered care. I have discovered a love for incorporating energy work, spirituality and a connection to the earth into my practice.
