Congratulations on your pregnancy! I am so glad that you choose to have a doula help and guide you through such a transforming and essential time in your life. Every birthing person deserves the support they need to give birth to the best experience for each unique individual. Ever since I was a little girl, birth, babies and breastfeeding have fascinated me. Instead of watching cartoons, I could always be caught watching TLC’s A Baby Story.
My birth philosophy that having the knowledge and support surrounding pregnancy, birth, newborns and breastfeeding facilitates an enjoyable and empowering birth experience. Historically, birth was a time of women and girls joining together to support and witness childbirth and new motherhood. Western Culture had moved away from such practices. I believe the role of a doula is a critical building block to restoring women supporting, educating and empowering other women through the wonderful passage of birth and motherhood.

I became Doula in 2020 while in my 2nd year of midwifery school and received training with Prodoula. I am currently serving as a primary midwifery student at the National College of Midwifery and actively delivering babies in a home birth and birth center setting under supervision. I am the mother to 2 children, one hospital birth and one home-birth. When I’m not working, you can find me at home with my two kids, researching and playing with old-fashioned remedies. (My kids are the official taste testers of all of my new tea formulas) I also spend much of my free time reading about women’s health, history, and spirituality.
