During a career day in high school, I met my first midwife and was blown away by the power of birth and becoming a parent. This began my search for a deeper understanding of what it means to be a woman, or “wombyn” as I like to say! It was this ignited passion that led me to find yoga to continue my quest into understanding my self more and our connection to the Earth and her beings. In 2016 I became pregnant and felt that I had been preparing my whole life for this moment! I immersed myself into everything I could to learn about this amazing and challenging journey and I knew that walking with wombyn through their processes of becoming Mothers is what I am here to do.
I have been teaching yoga since 2013 and practicing as a doula since 2017. I currently serve our community by offering donation-based prenatal and beginner yoga classes and volunteering with, For the Village, where we provide free birth and postpartum doula and educational services to at-risk families.
My wish is for every wombyn and family to experience the birth of their child in awareness, presence, respect and power. Deep bow to you for doing this courageous work.
