Why do I need an Ob/Gyn?

  • These doctors specialize in high risk pregnancies that may need a close monitoring during pregnancy.
  • You may want and feel most comfortable in a hospital setting with a trained medical professional who went through medical school and board certification.
  • They are surgeons who specialize in the emergency cesarean birth if baby needs to be birthed quickly.
  • You may have a family practice doctor who does obstetrics and you are most comfortable with them attending the birth of your baby.
