Bio

Ava Ohashi, placenta encapsulation specialist is excited to meet you and to support you in optimizing your health, wellness, and quality of life.

Ava is currently working on both a Master and a Doctorate degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine through Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. Her undergraduate degree in Fine Arts (Conceptual Still Photography) trained her eyes in a unique way to view and listen to patients with great compassion. She is also a dual state licensed Cosmetologist (California and Hawaii). She has excellent experience in skin care and has worked on celebrities in Hawaii. Her interest in Oriental Medicine began when she obtained her massage license in Hawaii and learned Oriental methods of treating patients through massage and aesthetic works.

Ava’s passion grew stronger in Oriental Medicine from the desire to support her father through his cancer treatment. As an extremely protective daughter, as soon as her father’s Oncologist mentioned Western Medicine can no longer be of help, but Oriental Medicine might support him in his remaining days, she immediately flew from Hawaii to California to learn Oriental Medicine by attending the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. Since then, she has had the amazing opportunity to train and work for the following organizations; The San Diego Cancer Center at University of California San Diego, Senior Clinic at First Lutheran Church, Recreation, Rady’s Children’s Hospital and Pacific College of Oriental Medicine clinic. With her passion and persistence, she is about to graduate from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine on schedule during toughest period of her life, while enduring events such as her father’s passing and the birth of her two children.

In her leisure, she loves spending time with her family. She is forever grateful for her their support during her attendance at PCOM while getting her Masters and Doctorate degrees.

She also encapsulates placentas for new moms whom just gave birth. She strongly believes in postpartum care and has a strong desire in supporting the wellness of mothers for the prosperity of the newborn precious babies. The intensive training through PCOM and National Certified courses makes her unique in this field.

She enjoys treating any age, gender, or health problems including general maintenance. She is fun, enthusiastic and happy, no one will leave her office without a smile, a relief looks on their face, and with hope in their souls. Her goals are to have each, and every patient feels better about their health and wellness, and achieve both physical and mental harmony in a peaceful and complete manner.
