At the Birth Education Center we feel it is extremely important for you to be informed and educated on options surrounding pregnancy, birth, and parenting. we want you to love this pregnancy, embrace it without fear and look forward to your labor. We offer birth consultations to help you begin planning, either before you are pregnant or half way into the pregnancy itself! Overcoming any fears or concerns you have about birth are also part of the consult, and dispelling worry allows you to connect with your baby and enjoy this birth experience.
Our classes cover everything you need to know about birth, babies and postpartum. Car seat fittings, placenta encapsulation and free breastfeeding support each week are other services we offer. We want to help you get educated in the options that are out there so you have choices! We have a complimentary doula matching service for families so they can get the right support from the very beginning.
We support all kinds of birth – natural, medicated, Caesarean, VBAC, home, hospital or birth center. Every woman must make the choice for herself as to what kind of birth she desires and we as women, no matter what our views, should support each other with those choices.
Within the Center we are sisters. We are here to answer your questions and help you in any way we can. San Diego has a wonderful birthing community and we hope to connect you to resources and birth professionals who will keep you safe and empowered.
